Quick Overview of Alkalinity

Our bodies should have a healthy balance of acidity & alkalinity, and what we ingest can directly affect these levels. Foods are generally classified as being either acidic or alkaline based upon their corresponding pH levels. On a pH scale of 0-14 with 7 being neutral, <7 is acidic while >7 is alkaline.

Overall alkaline foods include whole fruits and vegetables along with certain grains, while acidic foods include meat, dairy, refined sugars and starches. What does this all mean? Consuming alkaline foods help to keep your body and tissues healthy and slightly alkaline.  Eating a majority of acidic foods could eventually cause inflammation and result in sickness and disease.

In theory, the American (Standard American Diet or S.A.D.) diet is highly acid-forming.  When consumed, these foods negatively overwhelm the body’s ability to remove the excess acid, which is mucus forming.  Mucus is known to be the cause of many diseases.

Couple this with a diet that does not include any alkalizing foods such as fruits and vegetables, and it can lead to possible illness, disease in the body or worse.

When you are able to maintain more of an alkaline diet, you can then control your own health.  Eating alkaline foods can allow the body to detoxify, reducing the acid load.

Why ‘Electric’?

Bear in mind that not all alkaline foods are created equally.  Foods that Dr. Sebi describe as ‘electric’ go beyond alkalinity and includes original, natural, non-hybrid, whole foods that contains seeds and are not genetically modified. Their mineral content and ability to assimilate with our electrical bodies is especially what makes it different.

For these reasons you won’t see some foods that are considered “alkaline” on Dr. Sebi’s nutritional guide. so keep this in mind consider this if you are trying to heal yourself from a disease. While we acknowledge the list isn’t all inclusive of every possibility, it is a great blue print to use while healing and detoxing.
