Organic Chickpeas | Garbanzo Beans
Chickpeas are great in soups, stews, salads and so many other recipes!
Preparation:
Rinse chickpeas well.
Quick method – Cover chickpeas with spring water and bring to a rolling boil. After 5 minutes remove from heat and set aside for 30-45 minutes to soak. Drain and rinse chickpeas. Return to pot, add more water to cover chickpeas and cook for up to 45 minutes or longer depending on the desired texture.
Optional: Drain and store remaining liquid, known as ‘aquafaba’, from cooked chickpeas for future use.
